The next meeting of the Pierre Paper Quilling Club will be February 3 at the library at 7:00pm. We will be working on Valentine's Day cards.

There will not be a quilling club meeting in January but the meetings will resume in February with quilled Valentine's cards.

The next meeting of the Pierre Paper Quilling Club will be December 2 at the library at 7:00pm. We will be making Christmas gift tags.

The next meeting of the Pierre Paper Quilling Club will be November 5 at the library. We had four people at the last meeting. During the Nov. meeting we will be quilling snowflakes.

The next meeting of the Pierre Paper Quilling Club will be October 7, 2009 at the library. We had three people at the September meeting so we are off to a great start.

South Dakota's first and only Paper Quilling Club will start meeting this month. We will meet the 1st Wednesday of the month at the public library. Anyone 12 years of age or older is welcome to attend. There will be tools and supplies to use and a small project to complete, or bring your own project to work on. The goal of the quilling club is to foster a greater appreciation and understanding of paper quilling in South Dakota.

I created this small display about the history of quilling, quilling books and some of my work at our local library. So far it has been very well received and the library director asked if she could keep the display for two months.

I was selected to be the North American Quilling Guild regional representative for South Dakota. I am very excited to introduce this art form to more people in South Dakota.
 
7/20/09 
I will be teaching a beginners quilling class through our local Capital University Center November 12 & 19 from 6:30-7:30. The first week we will be making fall leaves, acorns and pumpkins. The second week will be snowmen and snowflakes. These quilled pieces can be added to cards, scrapbook pages, frames or made into ornaments.
